Gandahati Waterfall - History details
South of Paralakhemundi, Gandahati spills about 20 metres over rock ledges into shallow, swimmable pools fringed by sal forests. A small Santoshi Maa shrine, footbridge and garden add simple amenities, while the perennial Mahendratanaya stream keeps flow reliable through winter. It’s one of Gajapati’s favourite picnic addresses—easy to reach, scenic, and still quiet enough for lingering with friends and family.
