Founded in 1898 and set at Lal Mandi on the Jhelum, Srinagar’s SPS Museum showcases archaeology, numismatics, textiles and miniature paintings from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. Expanded with a modern, quake‑resistant gallery in 2017, it preserves objects from Harwan and Parihaspora excavations and classic Kashmiri crafts—papier‑mâché, Pashmina and walnut woodwork.
