Surya Mandir ( Sun Temple ), Bundu - History details

Founded with foundation stone on 24 Oct 1991 and consecrated on 10 Jul 1994 by Swami Vamdev Ji, the hilltop Surya Mandir near Bundu (Ranchi) is a chariot‑shaped shrine with 18 wheels and 7 horses built by Sanskriti Vihar under Shri Sita Ram Maroo. Geographically off NH‑43 on the Ranchi–Tata corridor, it overlooks the Chotanagpur plateau. Devotees throng during Chhath Puja and the late‑January Tusu fair.
