Completed in the 1970s across the Damodar, Tenughat is a 6.5 km earthen dam with concrete spillway in Petarwar block (Bokaro). The vast reservoir supplies water to Bokaro Steel/HEC, supports irrigation, and draws winter picnickers; boating sometimes operates seasonally. Access is via Petarwar More off the Bokaro–Ramgarh corridor.
